December moon 23.12.2010

A couple of Moon images. A day before christmas, 23.12. was cold (-25) winter morning. With these two pictures I would like to wish merry christmas for everybody!!! Camera: Pentax K100D. Objective: Tamron 80 - 210 zoom.

Moon in cold and misty autumn morning 24.10.2010. Pentax K100D camera, Tamron 80 - 210 mm zoom.

NGC 884 & NGC 869

Double cluster NGC 884 & NGC 869 in Perseus. Total exposure of 2 h 15 min. SW 80 ED, Atik 314L+ and WO 0,8x field flattener/reducer. Baader RGB and IR -filters.




At the end of the evening I took this b/w image of M31, The Great Galaxy of Andromeda. Total exposure only 12 min.

Jupiter 26.9.2010

Jupiter 26.9. at the evening approximately at 23.15. Stacked 18 frames by Registax 5. SW 200/1000 newtonian reflector, 2x barlow, HEQ5 SynScan mount and Pentax K100D SLR camera.




Jupiter with Galilei moons. Moons from left to right: Callisto, Io, Europa and Ganymede. Single frame of 1 second. I was also observing the planet and the moons visually by 8 inch reflector, 2x barlow and different eyepieces focal lengths from 6 to 25 mm.

Sh 2-86, NGC 6820 & NGC 6823

Sharpless catalog Sh 2-86 is a faint emission nebula in Vulpecula. In the middle of the nebula locates open cluster NGC 6823. Final image 4.10.2010. Total exposure of 8 h: Ha 240 min, OIII 120 min and SII 120 min. Processing: Adobe Phtotshop and Iris.



My first colcour image (Ha:OIII:OIII), exposure: Ha 240 min + OIII only 36 min. (3x12min). And then clouds came after three OIII frames...



Project continues. More hydrogen-alpha at the night 1.-2.9. Now I have total 240 minutes Ha...



Beginning of my new project. 1 h 48 min hydrogen-alpha.
